So the Freedom in Poverty

Erase the silence,
Erase the lies;
Lift the voices,
Where freedom hides.
Within the hearts,
Of those who cry;
Sings the songs,
Like lullabies.
Rising louder,
It begings to get clear;
Screaming it forth,
For every ear.
So hear the songs,
That freedom cries;
Bringing tears,
To the weathies eyes.
For the freedom lies in poverty,
When my Jesus came and said to me:
They have nothing,
Only me,
So freedom lies in poverty.

Tears of water, tears of rain

This is a cool poem I wrote in Writing 12 today
I thought it was good

Tears of Water, Tears of Rain
Like the tears of a woman
Who has lost the one her heart desired
So rain does fall
Flowing into mountain streams
They stream from her eyes
Enwrapping her cheekbones in a blanket of salty water
So the water flows down the mountain side
Encircling trees and enveloping stones
The tears flow down
Creating patterns of loss on her face
So water flows down the mountain side
Writing the song of spring on the earth
So the tears fall into puddles
That tell of her devotion to her love
So does the mountain spring bring life
As it's devotion to the Creator of all life

Tears of Sorrow, Tears of Pain
Tears of Water, Tears of Rain

Lots of love!

Captivating

So I'm reading this awesome book called Captivating: Unveiling the mystery of a woman's soul. And I found some really interesting thing in it and I thought I would quote a few points about it. So here we go......

The vast desire and capacity a woman has for intimate relationships tells us of God's vast desire and capacity for intimate relationships. In fact, this may be the most important thing we ever learn about God---that he yearns for relationship with us. "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God" (John 17:3). The whole story of the Bible is a love story between God and His people. He yearns for us. He cares. He has a tender heart.

Not only does loved by us long for us, but he longs to be loved by us. Oh, how we've missed this. How many of you see God as longing to be loved by you? We see him as strong and powerful, but not as needing as us, vulnerable to us, yearning to be desired.

After years of hearings the heart cry of women I am convinced beyond a doubt of this: God wants to be loved. He wants to be a priority at someone. How could we have missed this? From cover to cover, from beginning to end, the cry of God's heart is, " Why won't you choose me?" It is amazing to me how humble God is on this point. "You will find me" says the Lord "when you seek me with all your heart" (Jer 29:13). In other words, "Look for me, pursue me -- I want you to pursue me." Amazing. As Tozer says, "God wants to be wanted."

So God endows Woman with certain qualities that are essential to relationship, qualities that speak of God. She is inviting. She is vulnerable. She is tender. She embodies mercy. She is also fierce and fiercely devoted. As the old saying goes, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." That's just how God acts when he isn't chosen. "I the Lord your God, an a jealous God who will not share your affection with any other god!" (Ex. 20:5 NLT) A woman's righteous jealousy of the jealousy of God for us.
Tender and inviting, intimate and alluring, fiercely devoted. Oh yes, our God has a passionate, romantic heart. Just look at Eve.

So I just thought it was really interesting how women reflect the image of God in that specific way. Cool huh? I think so.

One & Only

The same God who created this earth
And created man and woman
Put the stars in the sky
And water on the land
Causes mountains to from
And at the same time can destroy them
Causes the earth to quake
And at the same time paints the essence of beauty in a sunset
Made a roaring lion
Then a cooing dove
Created innocent children
And powerful kings
Shaped the most intelligent minds
And at the same time the most creative ones
Created wind strong enough to take down trees
Yet gentle enough to whisper in your ear
Formed the most powerful waterfalls
But the most calmest seas
Who is this God in whom I place my trust?
Who is this God in whom I surrender my all?
He is love, compassion, strength and weakness
Hope, forgiveness, peace and joy
Mercy, control, jealous, but kind
He is the all in all
One and only
God that you will ever need

Red Roses

The rose is red
That is clear as day
The rose here beside me
Here as I lay
That rose has thorns
They hurt to touch
The rose from my love
I love so much
The rose that I hold
It dies with time
The rose won't last
Nor will this life of mine
So give me a red rose
Say you'll stay true
Hand me a red rose
And I'll be true to you

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool
